God knows every detail about you. He cares infinitely more for you than any human being does.
Do you struggle with who you are?
Too many women do not accept who God created them to be. They have what is often referred to as a ‘poor-self-image.’
For whatever reason, I have this problem too. For instance, I don’t know what to say if you were to compliment me in some way. Not because I am so humble but because I really don’t accept so many things about myself.
For the next four weeks, I am going to be sharing about how “you are special” because you know, you really really are special.
I hope this will help you to see your worth as a woman created to be fulfilled in Christ Jesus so that you can more fully live to His glory.
Why You Are So Special
O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
You are special because God’s word says you are!! Psalm 139 is the place to camp when you are filled with doubts on what a wonderful person you are.
I often say that I am “Stupid” or “Dumb.” When we hear or say these words over and over we will eventually believe them.
Do you know that I transfer what I think about myself to how I do something? Or whether I believe I can do it?
When I was in 4th grade my teacher used to call me a “nincompoop” which in the culture of the British school I attended in Hong Kong, was about the most insulting thing you could say to a child.
Words matter. Be careful what words come out of your mouth to your husband or children!!
Like I said, YOU are special!
And God has something awesome for you to do. He has a plan!
Oh Lord, You Have Searched Me and Known Me!
God knows everything about you. He has searched you out.
Whether you want Him to search you or not, He has.
He is always there and knows when you sit, when you stand, and whatever you do.
He knows those trying moments with your children. He knows when you are struggling with a defiant toddler or rebellious teen.
I’ve had both. Feel free to message me on Facebook if you need me to pray for you. I will!!
The interesting thing is that in the first verse in this chapter, it says that God has searched you and knows you. In the last verse of this chapter, YOU give God permission to do the searching so that He can do the transforming.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

I will be sharing about this Bible study each Monday and Friday. All you have to do is join in at any time without any sign-up. This is not time-sensitive to a month or season so that you can go at your own pace.
All I want is to encourage you to get into God’s word each day for as little or as much time as you have.

How To Do This Study
I realize that some days there is only one verse to read and sometimes a few more. I wanted you to take the time to meditate or even memorize each verse as you allow God to deal with how you view yourself.
By the end of this month I want you to be making progress in viewing yourself how God sees you. Changing your perspective to living totally in Christ alone instead of yourSELF.
- Pray for just a moment that the Lord would open your spiritual eyes and heart.
- Read the verse(s)
- Write out the verse in a journaling notebook of your choice. It can be a pretty journal, spiral bound or 3 Ring Binder. Your choice.
- Research using your fave resources about key words or phrases in this verse.
- Doodle about the verse. I am so totally interested in doodling and will be sharing more as we go.
- Memorize Psalm 139. Yes. Let’s try memorizing this whole chapter.
- Share #youarespecial on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram about your study.
- Pray in closing (about what God has shown you and then for family, friends, needs, more specifically)
I have so much more to share with you to help you grow in Christ and KNOW that you are special. I will have to save it for next time!!
My Challenge to YOU!! Share in the comments (or privately to me) what the Lord has shown you today.
