3 Years of Blogging GIVEAWAY!!
I started blogging 3 years ago over at Haven of Rest, then continued on over at WholeHearted Home on Blogspot, and then migrated WholeHearted Home to Word Press.
I have built some sweet friendships through these 3 short years with: Gail Purath over at 1-Minute Bible Love Notes, Rosilind Jukic over at A Little R & R, and Naomi Costales over at What Joy Is Mine. Recently I was cleaning out emails and found evidence of these bloggie friends dating way back to the beginning of my blogging journey.
How long have YOU been with me? Let me know in the comments.
To thank you for being my sweet readers, Kate Megill (another sweet friend) over at Teaching What Is Good, is allowing me the privilege of giving her latest book away!! I think her book so perfectly expresses what my blog is all about.
Silver Threads: Weaving Godly Wisdom into the Lives of Younger Women
by Kate Megill (book review)
Silver Threads: Weaving Godly Wisdom into the Lives of Younger Women is a newly released book by Kate Megill that you won’t be able to put down. You will want to return and read Silver Threads over and over until each Truth is weaved into your heart and life.
After I had been married for ten years, I remember desperately looking around for an older woman who could come along side me, influencing and disciple me to become the godly woman that I desired to be. The trouble was that there was no one. Sure, there were older women but they were all busy with their own lives or working.
At 33, I decided I would have to become a Titus two woman since ‘she’ was missing. I began reading various books, but none of them addressed so directly how to become that older woman like Silver Threads did for me.
Whether you are in your 20s or beyond, you are older than someone and you can start allowing God’s Holy Spirit to mold and bend you so you will someday be that godly older woman. It is a refining process and comes with time. That means that Silver Threads will greatly bless and benefit both the younger woman and the older woman.
Kate had me crying as I read her testimony of how older women had discipled her when she was a young wife and mother. One of those women, would come to her home and disciple her as she dealt with her children or responded to her husband. It was the most amazing thing!
Kate teaches you through Silver Threads how to disciple younger women. She motivated me and gave me the confidence that I can become that woman. She can do the same for you.
I hope that each one of you will allow Kate into your home to disciple you through her newly released book, Silver Threads. You will be blessed more than you can even imagine.
