A Common Sense Approach
Is it possible to eat healthy, stay slim, and feel full?
Yes! And if you eat too much, No!
Just remember, I am no expert. I’m not even a dietician. I do have some opinions (and that is all they are) that I can share with you.
Leave Out the Candy!!
Just over 4 years ago, I was 20 pounds heavier. It sure wasn’t easy to lose and I could tell that I was “on the gain!!”
Recently I had become careless and eating chocolate hadn’t been curbed since Christmas. I was ‘on the gain!’
It isn’t easy. After all, most of us live in America and everywhere we go from the grocery store, pharmacy, to Walmart, we are bombarded with candy and carbs!!
Did you ever notice where the candy is put?
At the front of the store and in the middle isles. At my grocery store, candy is with the veggies right as you come in the store. It is a HUGE display. May I add that there is ANOTHER WHOLE ISLE OF CANDY?!
What are we to do?!
Leave out the candy!!
Feeling Full, What Works for You
You will feel so much fuller if you make sure to drink half your body weight in pure water. I don’t buy my water as we have a well.
It’s funny, but when I eat pasta and bread, I can eat and eat. I want more too because it tastes so yummy. Eating like that has its disadvantages.
Most pastas and breads turn into sugars in your bloodstream and then end up bloating and adding weight to your stomach. Even if you are thinner.
Salads don’t look like they will fill you up, but they do. Especially if you eat some chicken with the salad. I don’t like ham in a salad. Most salads with ham use luncheon meats and they are way over processed for me.
Yogurt for breakfast (or lunch if you prefer) will fill you up while giving you protein. I love my yogurt!!
You can feel full for hours after eating healthy and even without pasta or bread. You will have the energy for so much more and if you do enough, you will sleep soundly too!!
What works for you? Do you eat healthy? Have you found your personal body weight and are staying relatively slim (remember, grace, grace, grace) for you? Are you feeling full?
