We all have homes that need to be managed and cleaned and here at WholeHearted Home, I share weekly about some aspect of the home. If you’ve missed some of this series or you are just climbing on board, you may catch up HERE!!
It doesn’t take long for a bathroom to get dirty and cleaning your bathroom daily will take just minutes.
Is there hair and dried toothpaste taking residence in your bathroom sink?
Does your tub have a ring of scum and buildup of dirt, soap, and hair covering the drain?
Does your toilet look worse than a public commode?
Has the floor not been washed in months?
Your family is awesome, I can guarantee you of that, and they deserve to have a bathroom that sparkles.
If you have children, you don’t have to be overwhelmed with the thought of cleaning your bathroom, you can delegate this task to one of your (willing) offspring. After all, they use the facilities too!!
Believe you me, your child doesn’t have to read this post to glean inspiration on how to clean a bathroom in minutes. They are born with that knowledge!!
Moms are perfectionists and once cleaning the bathroom we scrub and scour and then procrastinate cleaning the bathroom after that because it took so long.
How to clean your bathroom in minutes
Do you have children? Yes? Delegate! Make chore charts for your children and assign one child to clean the bathroom for the year. Some moms like to swap off chores weekly or monthly. Make a detailed list of all the tasks that need to be done each day, print it, and tape it inside the bathroom cabinet.
Wash the sink daily: It is easier to wash the sink daily than weekly. After a week you literally have to scrub. Who needs that?! Take an old towel and cut it into 8 squares and use for household chores. Don’t buy expensive rags or wipes to throw away as that is simply not thrifty. Spray the sink and counter with Windex or a solution with vinegar and dish soap. Or you can just use vinegar. Then wash. Since my sink is often not too dirty, I just spray and wipe without water except in the sink.
Wash the toilet: Using the same rag as you used on the sink, wash down the toilet. I had four little boys and so the WHOLE toilet was washed right down to the back and sides (for obvious reasons.) Then I throw the rag into the laundry.
Wash the floor: Our bathroom floor always got washed daily because unimaginable fuzz, dirt, and hair would show up. No one likes to bother doing it right by sweeping first and how you get around this is to wash the floor daily before too much crud accumulates. It is as simple as getting a rag wet, getting down on your hands and knees and giving it a quick wash. No need to find the mop and bucket. Just get the rag wet in the tub and scrub like Cinderella. That’s it!!
That all there is to cleaning a bathroom in minutes!!
The tub, molding, walls, pictures, and whatever else can be cleaned when you detail clean the bathroom as you rotate through the Zones in your home
Check that the toilet roll is filled and soap is in the shower.
I clean our bathroom in less than 5 minutes each day. How often do you clean your bathroom? Do you assign this chore to one of your children?
