“As I have done, so God hath requited me.”~Judges 1:7~
A boomerang is a curved piece of wood used as a missile weapon by native Australians. It can be thrown in such a manner that it returns to the one who throws it. You might have seen one or had one as a child. They can be fun but for most of us, where they end up is totally unexpected.
In other words, a boomerang may come back to hit the user right in the face and do them damage.
When a scheme backfires and falls back with harm upon the schemer, we call it a boomerang!!
Did you know that all of our actions and words can become like a boomerang – whether for good or bad?
There is a law of sowing and reaping which God refers to as “God hath requited me” and this may be said of one who lives a godly and righteousness life as much as one who lived a wicked life.
One thing is for certain and that is that sin is like a boomerang and will come back to roost on the sinner.
I just wanted to leave these thoughts with you today so you would be more aware of your thoughts and think before words spill out of your mouth or the thoughts turn into actions.
Let your words and actions reflect the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in your life so that the things you say and do BOOMERANG back as blessings or conviction on those around you.
How have your words and actions been like a BOOMERANG during the past week? Share in the comments and lets get interacting!!
